Iwata Neo Air Mini Compressor IS-30

Expert Review: The Ninja Jet is a fun looking little compressor and a bit more useful than the Neo (although not as lightweight.) It’s of quality build and the rugged case and slick bar handle make it easy to toss around without much concern for damage. It’s also pretty stripped down. Iwata Silver Jet Compressor

Expert Review: A favorite in the makeup industry, the Silver Jet fills the needs of many low pressure airbrush users. It looks quite pleasant on the table top at home or in a professional atmosphere with its shimmering stainless steel finish and also doesn’t take up much of a footprint. The built in gauge is easy to read and the included pistol grip moisture trap is a nice touch. You can find similar compressors for less but the Silver Jet still proves to be a worth while purchase. Expert Review: The Sprint Jet is a solid compressor. It’s quite and reliable. It has a nice gauge and an effective moisture trap. The handle flips up and folds down nicely. It’s a good compressor. However, in this day in age, paying over $200 for an airbrush compressor without automatic shut-off is just plain coo coo for cocoa puffs. Price Range $200 to $225. Iwata Smart Jet Compressor

Expert Review: The Smart Jet is one of Iwata’s longtime best selling airbrush compressors. Is has a super fast automatic shut-off feature that once you’ve had you will not want to live without. It also has this two hose cooling system where the air goes through a coil hose before hitting the moisture trap. Not sure how effective it is but a cool idea none the less. This popular model also has a very annoying design flaw. There is no regulator on the compressor. Instead there is a bleeder valve on the bottom of the moisture trap that you can open up to regulate the airflow. But guess what? When you open up the bleeder valve the automatic shut-off stops working. Price Range $250 to $275. Design: ★★ Quality: ★★★★ Cost to Performance Ratio: ★★★★

The outer case is not the only improvement you get when upgrading from the Smart Jet to the Smart Jet Pro; that annoying bleeder valve issue the Smart Jet has is solved here with a built in regulator. ? Expert Review: Strictly for the heavy hitters, the Power Jet series is built to fulfill the needs of the professional artist. With 5000 hours of service you’ll most likely only need to replace it every 10 years or so. This model doesn’t have a tank so of the three, I am least likely to recommend the Power Jet Lite. Expert Review: Iwata takes compressor technology to the next level with the Smart Jet Plus. That tubular handle wrapped around the compressor is actually a .5 liter air tank! This design adds less weight and is more compact than the usual air tank. The downside to this model is the decimal level. It is surprising load! Expert Review: The Iwata Power Jet Plus is a powerhouse of a compressor. It produces 1.4 CFM which is enough to to run a mini spray gun or several airbrushes at the same time. Unfortunately it’s also even louder than the Smart Jet Plus so if noise is an issue for you revert back to the original Power Jet. With its built in spray-gun/airbrush holder his model is ideal for the mural artist who needs something powerful yet easy to tote around. Price $437.58.
